You just might happen to spy an equisite sevententh century soapstone carving of Christ nestled quietly amid two small watercolors painted works of artist Paul Graf. Or how about the fabulous artwork of Monica Sjoo "Dragon Rising" signed and dated by the artist herself balanced atop a Civil War era butter churn. Surprises everywhere! New Finds For 2010:
Depicts the story of Leta and the Swan. Leta was the wife of Tyndareus--King of Sparta.The item is made ofbronze and very unique.

This great old clock keeps great time and has a wonderful chime. It's an old mahogany ANSONIA
Each piece of this triad is signed by renowned art glass artist Adam Jablonski. A.J. is a prolific and famous Polish artist.
It's a bit beat up and will need restoration, but a very charming theme. Painted in 1954, this work seems to follow the cubist tradition by Hope V. Pfeiffer.
17th Century soapstone carving of Christ. The work is sincere, depicting Christ as bound, and suffering. The piece has been glued here and there because in so many years, it too has seen some suffering.
Twenty-Five Danbury Hummel themed plates
Dante and Beatrice Bookends. Made in the 30's. Not in perfect condition--through hell and back--I guess; they are priced to sell.
Dante and Beatrice arise from the opening volumes of the epic poem. Made of marble, these bookend spirits are very good condition, but priced to sell.
Early plastic football pin. It's in great shape and has all the parts.
Stoneware spittoon. Brown glaze in and out.
Wrought Iron spittoon with white enamel inside.

Fantastic numbered limited edition artwork of American Rhythm. The original mural was created by James H. Daugherty. The edition number is low--68 of 1900.
The Star clock shone brightly in many a 70's rambler. The clock has a seven day wind to it, comes with key, and keeps great time.

An update at long last concerning our friends: Antiques At Shady Oak. Antiques At Shady Oak is busy remodeling their new Main Street store. It has been almost a year since a fire roared through their former digs...causing so much physical damage to property & emotional harm to dealers. But antiques people are a resilient lot! After dealing with the long months of hard salvage work and moving...Nancy and Hal are now working hard to restore their business. At long last, Antiques At Shady Oak...now on Main Street... is set be open sometime this spring. Without a doubt, local antique dealers and antique collectors have missed this very special group of people. The informed AASO dealers have always been famous for friendliness and charm. It will be great to have such good neighbors!
